Are You Discouraged?

When we are discouraged because of adversity, unanswered prayers, persecutions, finances, illnesses and etc., we need to pray for strength, and be determined, to carry on.

What is the definition of DETERMINATION? It is firmness of purpose; resoluteness. Let it be said of you, Christians, that you advanced (with God’s help) with an unflinching determination, in the face of discouragement! Like the song says, “Onward Christian Soldiers….”.

God wants you to know that no matter what your circumstances are:

  • He is faithful.
  • He is a good God.
  • He will keep you.
  • He will provide for you.
  • He will bless you.

Look past your circumstances to God who works all things for your good and His glory.

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)

God Isn’t Far Away

He is in every thought that gives you hope, in every tear that waters your soul, and in every moment you can’t face alone. He is in the blessings you have yet to receive. He is in every good thing that touches you. He is in every step you make and every breath you take.

My hidden blessing for today was walking Taylor, my Lab with my friend, Deb at the park. What was your hidden blessing, today?

Let’s talk about: God will provide for you. The Holy Spirit told me three years ago, that one of the worst mistakes I have made over the years, was not allowing God to meet my financial needs. From that moment on, I’ve waited on God, instead of taking things into my own hands. God has surprised me, to say the least. Don’t make my mistake! Taking things into my own hands has only caused me pain, because of financial loss.

May the peace and comfort of God surround you, and may God’s unfailing love and care keep you,

In † Christian Love, Susan Osten
