My name is Susan Osten. My mom suffered with Scleroderma for 16 years. She succumbed to Scleroderma on April 12, 2011. Because Scleroderma is a Rare, autoimmune disease and in some cases, it is Invisible, people who have heard of Scleroderma are few and far between.

I would be delighted, if some of you would visit my Facebook Page: Help End Scleroderma†. If you visit us, feel free to pick out any post you like to share.

Raising Awareness of Scleroderma is one of the greatest gifts you can give to those who have Scleroderma.
Following is some information about Scleroderma in case anyone may need it: Scleroderma is an autoimmune disorder, which means that the body’s immune system turns against itself. In scleroderma, there is an overproduction of abnormal collagen (a type of protein fiber present in connective tissue). This collagen accumulates throughout the body, causing hardening (sclerosis), scarring (fibrosis), and other damage. The damage may affect the appearance of the skin or it may involve only the internal organs. The symptoms and severity of scleroderma vary from person to person.
There is no cure for Scleroderma.

Thank you for your time, and may God Bless You!
